CTR: Welcome to author Shermaine Williams who’s sharing our themed book party today! First, tell us a little bit about the book you’re featuring today. Things like publisher, release date, ISBN and a buy link at least please! Also a blurb would be nice 🙂

SW: Published by Andrews UK edited by Lucy Felthouse
Published: Nov 23, 2010
ISBN # 9781849892452

Do you get all weak-kneed at the sight of a grubby fireman or a hunky soldier? Perhaps immaculately-dressed waiting-on staff get you feeling frisky? If so, you’ve come to the right place. Uniform Behaviour contains sixteen smutty stories about firemen, soldiers, sailors, police, security guards and even waiters, priests and cleaners! Delve into this anthology and enjoy steamy stories from established erotica authors including Justine Elyot, Craig J Sorensen, Victoria Blisse, Shermaine Williams, Elizabeth Coldwell and Lucy Felthouse. Uniform Behaviour also proudly introduces some exciting debut authors. So remember, you saw them here first! As well as being written and compiled for your titillation, this anthology is also designed to do good. A portion of the proceeds from Uniform Behaviour will be donated to UK charity Help for Heroes, which helps those wounded in current conflict. The stories in this anthology have been hand-picked by a uniform aficionado, so you can rest assured that only the sexiest erotic fiction lies in this eBook.

CTR: What made you decide to write this particular book? Did you have a special uniformed person in mind or just admire them all? Can you give us some story behind the story?

SW: This is where the editor, Lucy Felthouse, should come in. She was inspired to put together and edit the anthology as she has a friend in the British Army. Who better to enjoy an anthology of sexy tales of men and women in uniform? Not least when he is stationed in Afghanistan. It is difficult not to have some feeling for someone away from home and family, especially over Christmas and new year. Besides creating a gift for her friend, she is also spreading the love (and lust) wider by earmarking some of the profits for Help for Heroes, the charity that helps those who have been left injured after returning from war.

CTR: How about the spouses and SOs of our uniformed protectors—do you know one and sympathize with the special stresses they have to endure? Do you think couples can make two careers of this kind work?

SW: I don’t know any spouses of uniformed protectors personally, and I can only imagine how stressful it must be. I’m sure that it can be beneficial to be part of a couple with similar uniformed careers as It offers a close link to someone who knows what you are going through, as long as they don’t take the stress out on each other.

CTR: What do you think is the special appeal of men and women in uniform, be it military, law enforcement, fire fighters or others? Do they make good romance characters because of this?

SW: I think there is something about the power and authority behind the uniform—it demands respect and deference. I’m sure a uniform brings out a desire to corrupt in many people as well. When its someone’s job to protect and serve and generally do good, its just too tempting to try and turn them bad!

CTR: Let’s switch subjects a little bit now. Here we are at the start of a brand new year. Are you one of those folks who makes a big list of resolutions and struggles to keep at least some of them or do you take a pass on this custom?
SW: I find resolutions a little strange—if a change needs to be made, why not make it in April or July or September? The traditional way of making resolutions creates too much pressure, which often leads to failure.

CTR: Do you have a goal, plan or dream for something to do this year?

SW: To write as much as possible. The ideas come quicker than I can write them down! I concentrated on other projects in 2010, so I’m going to make up for it in 2011.

CTR: Where do you see yourself and your writing career on Jan 1, 2012? 2020? Even farther into the future?

SW: I like to think that I will be continuing to do what I do now—writing stories in a range of lengths and genres.

CTR: Anything else you’d like to share with our readers today?

SW: I’ve got a number of other titles due out in 2011, in fact, Lady in Red is out today with Total-e-Bound. The stories are a number of different genres, from paranormal to humour to interracial to BDSM. I have also got several works in progress for readers to look forward to.

CTR: Thanks so much for joining us today and please come again when you have a book that meets our theme.
