It won’t be long now and I’ll be drawing two winners from the names left in the comments section of this morning’s post. Two, count ’em two, readers each will win a copy of my novella The Third Wish, the first tale in the Shadow of Esagil series from Sapphire Blue Publishing.
Right now, however, I’m in New York City having lunch with fabulous tweeps in the publishing industry. These are all folks with a common interest in publishing who have connected via twitter. There are editors, agents, bloggers, reviewers, readers, and authors….all gathering together at the Algonquin to talk up the ever-mercurial state of publishing. A lot has changed in the past few years…digital publishing primary among those changes.
As an epublished author, I have a great appreciation for the ease and accessibility of electronic books. But I’d also like people to understand that ebooks can have the same quality as traditionally published books. My publisher, Sapphire Blue, has a high standard of editorial content that brings only the best crafted stories to their readers. I also have an abiding respect for traditional publishing. Basically, we can learn from one another.
If you have any questions about epublishing or the romance genre in this new digital bedroom, now is the time to ask. I may not have the answers, but I’ll do my best.
